I’m Vivian Thompson, a designer specializing in sea glass ornaments for over 15 years.
These forgotten pieces feel like nature’s crystal tear—a reminder of what we toss into the sea and a symbol of love, inclusiveness, and the kindness of nature. They’re also a gentle call to care for our planet.
Years ago, I began collecting sea glass along the New England coast. Tiny pieces glimmered under the sun, each shaped by storms, tides, and time.
What started as a quiet hobby grew into a small studio, where every rescued piece is lovingly transformed into a symbol of hope, beauty, and mindful holiday giving.
People call us “coastal artists” or “guardians of the shoreline.” Since 2015, we’ve rescued over 800 pounds of genuine sea glass from Mowry Beach—a small but meaningful way to protect our shores while creating something joyful for the holidays.
This year, we’re sharing that story in a new way—through a holiday ritual that celebrates discovery, ocean beauty, and mindful giving, one rescued piece at a time.
